Dr. Patrick DiVietri is the author of the Cantata Carmelita.  Above all else, he is a man whose life has centered on his desire to do the Will of God first and always.  In that Will, his musical work too has been created for the love and glory of God and the benefit of those 

 

DiVietri is a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites, a Pastoral Counselor, and an ACPE Psychotherapist Member, a professor of Philosophy and Theology, a musician, a composer, an author, and a family man.  He has a Ph.D. in the Humanities, with an interdisciplinary emphasis in Theology, Psychology, Philosophy, and the Fine Arts, focused on Orchestration, Choral, and Theatrical performance.   He has published writings in the Vatican library about family life.  He is the Executive Director of the Family Life Institute.
